the titans community

Since its inception in 2009 and supported by compassionate families, friends, volunteers, the local community, the Titan Community has grown to more than 80 young adults. The Titans meet bi-weekly to engage in friendly competition through the Wheelchair Sports program, and meet monthly to enjoy social opportunities, offered at minimal or no charge, such as bowling, Braves games, parties, and cookouts. Our focus is inclusion of the individual, as well as their families and friends, into the community at large. These activities help build friendships, acceptance, and support within the Community. The Titans also serve as community ambassadors, fostering understanding and education about physical disabilities.

The Titans are young adults with physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and physical injury — some who also have some minor, secondary intellectual challenges.

Titan Update!

With the improving Covid situation and as a first step to "open up" scrimmages to the Titan community, we are planning to open up scrimmages in July to Titans and their parents/caregiver who are "fully vaccinated". We will continue to update our protocols every 30 days and hope to welcome all Titans to scrimmages in the near future. Stay tuned for scrimmage dates/times!
